Biography top 100 of the millennium

There is something in Americans that dearly loves a list. Maybe it is the national bent for keeping track of sports teams. Whatever it is, knowing who’s up, who’s down, who’s in and who’s out, has played a role in the national character.

It’s understandable then that as the millennium draws to a close, the country looks back over its shoulder in an attempt to list the great ones of the past.

Recently, the cable network A&E; announced its list of the 100 most influential people who have graced the stage of history over the past 1,000 years.

The special program of “Biography” will be rebroadcast on Dec. 31, New Years Eve.
