Eiffel Tower was named after one the most influential people in its construction, a contractor, engineer, architect and showman by the name of Gustave.

3 A few facts…. The Eiffel Tower is the fifth highest building in France.

4 Since the construction is very high, it is actually painted in three different shades of color. The darkest tone used at the base of the building, and the brightest – at the top.

The Eiffel Tower was designed by Maurice Koechlin and Émile Nouguier and built in Paris, France between and At meters tall.

The tower officially opened May 5, “The Iron Lady” was the star attraction with 2 million visitors.

Built in , it has a global cultural icon of france and one of the most recognizable structure in the world.

The tower was erected for the Paris Exposition of ; Exposition Universelle in French—the Paris World's Fair.
