AIIMS entrance topper Navsheen Singhal aims to be super-surgeon

Navsheen Singhal from Hisar topped the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) MBBS entrance exam as the results were announced on Thursday.

The exam was conducted on June 1, 2015.

In all, 14,417 candidates have been shortlisted, who will be counselled to fill the 672 seats available across seven AIIMS in seven different states.

Singhal told Hindustan Times that staying in the society of medical professionals since his childhood motivated him to opt for challenging profession.

He wants to be a super-specialized surgeon.

Singhal’s father Dr Kailash Singhal is a leading cardiologist and running a private hospital at Model Town locality of Hisar city whereas his mother Deepa Singhal is a chief medical officer at Hisar-based Employee’s State Insurance (ESI) Corporation Hospital.
